The Deluxe Edition ($69.99 / £64.99 / €79.99) includes a copy of the game, early unlocks for the Treasure Basin accessory and the Legacy outfit, as well as exclusive content: the Wulin Legend outfit, the Blood-Steel Form outfit, a digital art book, and a digital soundtrack. According to developer S-GAME, players who pre-order the game also receive early access to the Treasure Basin accessory and the Legacy outfit both of which can also be obtained through in-game progression.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, S-GAME presents Phantom Blade Zero as a fusion of classic Wuxia storytelling and dynamic combat. Players step into the role of Soul, a warrior operating under a strict time limit. S-GAME notes that Soul is left with only sixty-six days left to live, forcing him to fend off assassins, unravel world-ending conspiracies, and defend his values.
The recently released footage showcases only a fraction of the game’s scope. Battling enemies atop a speeding wagon and crossing blades with former comrades like The Hunt serve as the opening moments of the protagonist’s journey through the dark wuxia land called the Phantom World.
Donnie Yen’s Martial Arts Expertise and Motion Capture Role
Donnie Yen plays a critical behind-the-scenes and on-screen role in shaping the project. Yen has served as creative consultant for Phantom Blade Zero since 2023, bringing his extensive action filmmaking experience to combat design to help deliver an authentic kung fu experience.
Beyond his advisory duties, Yen contributes directly to the performance capture of the narrative. He takes on the role of Facial & Motion Capture Actor for Mó Yuan, who is the father of protagonist Soul as detailed in PlayStation’s developer coverage.
