The internet personality known as Clavicular, whose real name is Braden Peters, has been charged in a Massachusetts court with one count of rape, one count of drugging a person for sex, and one count of providing alcohol to a minor, according to court documents obtained by The Bulwark. Prosecutors filed the charges in a Cape Cod courthouse on September 8, stemming from an alleged incident that took place on May 23, 2025.
Charges Filed in Massachusetts Court
Online court records show that the 20-year-old streamer is scheduled to be arraigned on October 14. A representative for Clavicular, Mitchell Jackson, stated that Peters had not been physically served with an arrest warrant, telling NBC News that the initial report exaggerates the status of the case. If convicted of rape, Peters faces up to 20 years in prison, and a conviction on either the rape or drugging charges would require him to register as a sex offender.
Connection to Florida Civil Lawsuit
The criminal charges have brought renewed attention to a civil lawsuit filed in Florida by teenage influencer Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza, who is also known online as Alorah or Alorah Ziva. Mendoza accused Peters of battery, fraud, and sexual misconduct, alleging in her complaint that he arranged for her to travel by Uber to his parents’ home in Cape Cod in 2025. According to the lawsuit, she was given vodka until she was intoxicated to the point of being unable to give consent before nonconsensual sexual encounters occurred.
The civil complaint also alleged that Peters injected Mendoza with Aqualyx, a fat-dissolving substance not approved by the FDA, during a livestream without her consent. In July, Peters filed a motion to dismiss several counts of that lawsuit. Online court records do not indicate whether the criminal charges filed in Massachusetts are formally related to the allegations in the Florida civil case.

Peters responded to the legal scrutiny on the platform X, writing, Trying to get my attention in anyway possible, a lawsuit? Seriously… really petty of you,
and later adding, Lmao was literally trying to work at Bacara as a bottle girl… how about dont finance cars you cant afford. Happens to all successful young men, people try to come for your money. Greed is evil.
He also shared materials including a letter and a video of Mendoza to The Hollywood Reporter and X.
Clavicular gained internet fame for the “looksmaxxing” trend, which the Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines as the practice of taking measures intended to increase physical attractiveness. His past controversies include being charged in Florida in April alongside two other people with unlawfully discharging a firearm after shooting at an alligator. Peters and another person pleaded no contest in that matter and received six months of probation alongside 20 hours of community service. Additionally, Peters was hospitalized in Miami in April following a suspected overdose during a livestream.
