He recalled that unemployment stood at 25.9 percent with youth joblessness at 54 percent during the early years of his tenure, alongside public anxiety over currency stability. Pointing to public debt reductions, Vučić noted that state liabilities fell from 79 percent of gross domestic product during his time as prime minister down to roughly 43 percent.
