Madison Square Garden Entertainment Hits 52-Week High on Record Revenue

Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. achieved a milestone performance in fiscal 2026, surpassing the $1 billion revenue mark for the first time in the company’s history. According to results released by BigGo, full-year revenue reached $1.061 billion, representing a 13% increase year-over-year. The financial growth was driven by top-tier artist residencies and championship sports tailwinds that increased venue utilization across the company’s properties.

Record Fiscal 2026 Financial Results

For the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, MSGE reported an operating income of $141.5 million, up 16% from the prior year. Adjusted operating income reached $262.2 million, marking an 18% increase, while net income totaled $66.2 million. Diluted earnings per share jumped to $1.38, compared to $0.77 in the previous fiscal year. The company concluded the fiscal period with $294 million in unrestricted cash and approximately $579 million of debt, alongside a surge in operating cash flow to $351.4 million.

Fiscal fourth-quarter results further strengthened the annual performance, with quarterly revenue rising 27% year-over-year to $196.3 million, topping forecasts of $166.62 million according to MarketBeat. Fourth-quarter adjusted operating income reached $18.6 million, improving from an adjusted operating loss of $1.3 million in the same period a year earlier. Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer David Collins attributed the quarterly improvement to higher entertainment revenue alongside increased food, beverage, and merchandise sales.

Concert Residencies and Holiday Productions Drive Attendance

Approximately 6.4 million guests attended nearly 960 events across MSGE venues during the fiscal year. The music segment proved particularly strong, supported by events such as Lady Gaga’s “Mayhem Ball” tour, which played Madison Square Garden three times across March and April with average ticket prices reaching up to $338 for certain shows. In the fiscal fourth quarter, the number of concerts held at Madison Square Garden more than doubled year-over-year, with the majority of shows selling out.

The company’s seasonal productions also delivered record results. The Christmas Spectacular featuring the Radio City Rockettes welcomed over 1.2 million ticketed attendees across 215 performances, generating approximately $195 million in revenue and marking the highest attendance in 25 years. Collins revealed during the earnings call that the upcoming 2026 holiday season schedule has been expanded to a record 230 performances, featuring a new Rockettes scene and immersive technology.

Looking ahead to fiscal 2027, MSGE’s schedule features a 30-date Madison Square Garden residency by Harry Styles running from August through October, with shows every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday for 10 consecutive weeks. Additional marquee events include the return of the NCAA Men’s Basketball East Regional to the arena in March.

Analyst Ratings and Market Valuation

Some market observers have raised valuation concerns following the company’s recent rally. Seaport Research Partners noted that shares have largely priced in fiscal 2026 growth, trading at elevated multiples for a business projected to grow at a moderate annual rate through the end of the decade. Concurrently, insider activity showed executive vice president Philip Gerard D’ambrosio selling 9,907 shares in June at an average price of $74.48, leaving a direct ownership of 15,772 shares.
