Bournemouth controlled the tempo through a physical, open first half and threatened early through Stunning double saves from Djordje Petrovic, who repeatedly kept Everton at bay. The goalkeeper stopped Jarrad Branthwaite’s early header from a corner and later denied Tyrique George and Barry from close range. Dewsbury-Hall delivers a fine inswinging corner which Branthwaite meets at the near post.
The deadlock finally broke just before halftime. Rayan picks up the ball on the edge of his own box and then plays a long pass forward to Evanilson, who turns Tarkowski inside out before finding Scott on the edge of the area. The Bournemouth midfielder then shows real composure, taking one touch to set himself before placing the ball with his right foot into the far corner.
Evanilson is really good at running in behind and holding on to the ball and for me as a number eight I want to score more goals so making that extra burst to get on the scoresheet is important. Hopefully I can get a few more this year.

James Tarkowski Strikes Late to Rescues a Point for Everton
Everton struggled to carve out clear openings for much of the afternoon, but manager David Moyes kept his side in contention. Bournemouth were unchanged from the side that lost to Manchester City on the opening weekend, as James Garner replaced Hayden Hackney to partner Nottingham Forest transfer target Harrison Armstrong in Everton’s midfield.
Those missed opportunities proved costly in the 91st minute. Hackney’s corner is a poor one, straight towards Tavernier, but the Bournemouth winger doesn’t communicate with Christie and they both challenge for the ball. Neither player clears it properly and it falls to Tarkowski, who powers his effort low along the ground and into the far corner.

Managerial Reactions and Home Unbeaten Streaks
Despite dropping two points at the death, Rose emphasized the positives of his team’s performance while acknowledging the need to clean up details in the box.
“It was mostly about the result but as a coach you evaluate the performance as well and in most phases of the game it was really good. It was a quite open game, quite up and down. We can get better in some parts of the game. Today for me it was not even a set piece for the goal because we had already cleared the situation, but I don’t want to blame anyone because I saw so many positive things.” Bournemouth boss Marco Rose
The draw extends Bournemouth’s remarkable consistency at home. Bournemouth are unbeaten in each of their last 10 home matches in the Premier League (W3 D7), which is their outright longest unbeaten run at home in the top-flight and their longest run overall since a run of 11 between February and August 2022, with 10 of those matches coming in the Championship and one in the Premier League.
