The transfer deadline for Premier League clubs falls on Tuesday, September 1 at 11 p.m. local time (6 p.m. ET). The deadline for Spain’s top clubs in La Liga is one minute before that on the same day, while Italy has a 2 p.m. ET deadline on September 1. The deadlines in France and Germany are exactly 24 hours earlier than the one for Serie A teams. The Dutch Eredivisie window closes on September 2, two days before the deadline for Turkish Super Lig clubs to make signings.
The window for clubs in the Saudi Pro League closes a little later than in Europe’s major leagues, shutting on October 12. Even though the Pro League has collectively dialled back its huge spending, this creates a useful period of time for players who have not secured a move within Europe to get on the move. The MLS extended its secondary transfer window to run from July 13 to September 2 to further align with the wider global soccer schedule.
