Netflix officially announced the feature follow-up to Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 box office hit, The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth. Originally developed under the title The Adventures of Cliff Booth, the project shifts the focus entirely to Pitt’s rugged character, trading the sunny cinematic backdrop of 1969 for a very different Hollywood in 1977.
The release strategy pairs a two-week exclusive global run in IMAX theaters beginning November 25 with a subsequent streaming debut on Netflix on December 23. What to Expect From Cliff Booth in 1977 Hollywood
Set eight years after the events of the first film, the narrative finds Booth navigating a transformed industry landscape and centers on Booth coming to terms with a very different Hollywood. While the 2019 film depicted Booth primarily as the loyal stunt double and driver for fading television star Rick Dalton—played by Leonardo DiCaprio—the upcoming installment positions Booth working as a Hollywood studio fixer dealing with the industry’s dark secrets.
Leonardo DiCaprio will not reprise his role as Rick Dalton in the sequel, though he has expressed support for the project. However, the film brings back other familiar faces, with Timothy Olyphant reprising his role as James Stacy alongside a massive ensemble cast.

The expansive supporting cast features Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis, and Karren Karagulian.
