Snoop Dogg is hosting the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sept. 27, according to AOL.com. The ceremony features a highly anticipated return for Madonna, who is scheduled to open the show with her first VMAs performance in 23 years.

Following the release of Confessions II, Madonna enters the event as the most nominated artist of the year. The Bring Your Love
singer has earned 13 nominations, including Artist of the Year and Video of the Year. Taylor Swift follows closely with 11 nominations.
The evening will also include the presentation of the Video Vanguard Award to Nirvana. Madonna’s return to the stage marks a significant gap since her last appearance in 2003, when she performed “Hollywood” and Like a Virgin and shared a kiss with Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears.
