Meta’s new AI assistant mascot, Jolly, has sparked an online frenzy on X as users flood the platform with risqué memes and exaggerated admiration for the character’s digital assets. The default mascot, designed for tasks like email management and travel booking, quickly drew intense viral attention following a series of digital makeovers.

Instead, they birthed an internet phenomenon. Online interest in Meta’s latest technology took a surprising turn when users began fixating on the physical appearance of the default avatar for the new Muse AI assistant. Dubbed Jolly, the roly-poly secretary character was originally created to give an adorable, approachable face to the dystopian-sounding tech, distinguishing it from impersonal competitors at Anthropic and other artificial intelligence firms.
From Tamagotchi Charm to Digital Makeovers
The mascot’s design evokes a cross between a Labubu and a Squeezy dumpling toy, functioning similarly to a high-tech Tamagatchi.
However, user perception shifted dramatically after Alexandr Wang, head of Meta’s Superintelligence Labs, shared a series of risqué, AI-generated memes showcasing the character with substantially enhanced digital proportions.
Viral Fervor and Outspoken Reactions on X
The campaign immediately resonated with internet users, prompting throngs of viewers to fawn over the mascot’s features across social media. Among the viral posts, one online observer declared, Muse is a thirst trap,
while another posted, Muse OnlyFans around the corner I fear.
A third user added, I’m basically logging into X every day to see the thicc muse posts.
Wang himself acknowledged the unexpected surge in online attention, posting on X, Some of y’all way too thirsty for muse,
despite driving the sexualized campaign.
Beyond Wang’s initial posts, users began generating their own salacious content, including a spoof of the popular meme featuring a man ogling another woman while his girlfriend looks on with disapproval.
Meme Culture Hijacks Meta’s Secretary
The AI-generated imagery shared by Meta’s Superintelligence Labs head leaned heavily into well-known internet memes and pop culture moments.
One snippet featured Jolly winking over its shoulder, while another placed the voluptuous virtual character in bed with two men in a parody of the iconic three-way kissing scene from the film Challengers,
which originally starred Zendaya, Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist. Wang also superimposed the character over a still of singer Adam Levine’s notorious text messages, in which the musician wrote, holy f–k
and that body of yours is absurd.

The Muse assistant itself is designed to carry out everyday tasks on a user’s behalf, ranging from sending emails to booking travel.
