Tencent Games has unveiled its largest game lineup to date for Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, featuring hands-on demos, new platform debuts from TiMi Studio Group, and technical showcases. The announcement coincides with organizers confirming that the 233,000-square-meter exhibition floor has completely sold out of space for the first time.
As Gamescom 2026 prepares for its official opening, the scale of the Cologne convention has reached a historic milestone. The convention hosts more than 1,600 exhibitors from 67 countries, marking an increase from 1,568 exhibitors in 2025, with 70 percent traveling from outside Germany.
Tencent Games Brings Largest Lineup and Central Tech Debut to Cologne
Tencent Games Central Tech and LAP—the LightSpeed In-House AI Platform for Game Asset Generation—will make their debut at Gamescom dev, where engineers will share technical expertise through speaker sessions.

TiMi Studio Group Showcase and Honor of Kings Expansions
TiMi Studio Group is bringing four titles from the Honor of Kings universe to the Cologne show floor, offering hands-on gameplay and stage activities.
Additionally, the lineup includes Animula Nook by LilliLandia Games, a miniature community life sim that invites visitors to an oversized plush Wupa installation and offers receipt-style snapshot printing with in-game residents.
Exhibition Expansion Plans and Global Publisher Additions for 2027
The surge in demand has prompted organizers to look ahead. Game — The German Games Industry Association and Koelnmesse are already drafting expansion concepts for 2027 to accommodate increasing exhibitor interest. Tim Endres, Director of Gamescom, noted that the sellout serves as a strong signal for the industry following floor expansions enacted the previous year.
New major exhibitors joining Tencent Games on the sold-out floor include Konami, Embark Studios, and Level Infinite. Meanwhile, international growth is visible across the venue, with 47 country pavilions representing 40 nations—up from 40 pavilions and 35 nations in 2025. Bulgaria, Cyprus, Hungary, Morocco, and Nigeria are hosting pavilions for the first time, while the Gamescom Indie Area has expanded to more than 420 companies, marking a 16 percent increase over 2025.
Political Milestones and Digital Broadcast Highlights
Gamescom 2026 also establishes a political milestone. Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is scheduled to attend as the first sitting German head of state, opening the Gamescom Congress on Thursday, August 27, alongside a program centered on games and democracy featuring 85 talks across 165 speakers.
The broader convention week spans August 23 to 30, anchored digitally by Geoff Keighley and co-host Eefje “Sjokz” Depoortere hosting Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25. The broadcast schedule also incorporates the Gamescom Awesome Indies show produced with IGN, the European debut of Gamescom GDQ as a charity speedrunning marathon, and the Gamescom City Festival in downtown Cologne on August 29 and 30.
