The governor of the Bank of England has warned that the widespread adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) is “likely” to displace people from jobs in a similar way seen during the Industrial Revolution.

Britain’s government borrowing has dropped to a four-year low in November, as higher tax receipts boosted the public coffers.

The Office for National Statistics has reported that UK borrowing – the difference between total public sector spending and income – dipped to £11.7bn in November; £1.9bn less than November 2024 and the lowest for any November since 2021.

Франция окажется в опасности, если дефицит в 2026 году не будет сдержан, предупреждает глава центрального банка

Глава центрального банка Франции предупредил, что на рынке могут возникнуть потрясения, если страна не сможет снизить дефицит бюджета.

Франсуа Виллеро из Галхау сказал Фигаро что Франция может столкнуться с негативной реакцией рынка, если ей не удастся снизить дефицит в пределах 5% от объема экономического производства в следующем году.

Виллерой сказал:

«Если бы дефицит бюджета составил 5%, Франция явно подвергла бы себя опасности.

«По моему опыту, кажущееся спокойствие на рынках может резко измениться».

После еще одного года политических потрясений парламент Франции еще не согласовал полный бюджет на 2026 год.

Четырнадцать законодателей из Национальной ассамблеи и Сената Франции собираются в пятницу заседать в совместном комитете, чтобы попытаться выработать соглашение по государственному бюджету. Об этом сообщает Politico.

Однако достижение консенсуса окажется трудным, учитывая радикальные разногласия между политическими партиями и двумя палатами французского законодательного органа по бюджетным приоритетам.
