Technology brand Forbes has launched the ChargeView 240W Desktop Charger, serving as a successor to the 140W ChargeView model released the previous year. Developed by the San Diego-based company, the new desktop charger expands the brand’s ChargeView collection by distributing a total power budget of 240W across six USB-C ports. The device is available for purchase now through the Satechi website and Amazon, priced at $149.99.

said Brock Guclu, co-founder and president of Satechi, according to Forbes. ChargeView 240W takes that further, delivering the output that creators and professionals with demanding desks need without compromising on the design or the transparency that defines the collection.
Port Specifications and Power Distribution
The 240W total power output is split dynamically across the unit’s six USB-C ports. Individual ports feature varying maximum power capacities:
- Ports C1 and C2: Support up to 140W each via USB PD 3.2 EPR AVS, enabling fast charging for devices such as the iPhone 17 series and later, alongside USB PD 3.0 PPS compatibility for devices including the Samsung Galaxy S25+ and Google Pixel 9+.
- Ports C3 and C4: Deliver up to 100W each with USB PD 3.0 PPS support.
- Ports C5 and C6: Deliver up to 30W each with USB PD 3.0 PPS support.
Because actual wattage varies based on active usage, utilizing all six ports simultaneously results in a redistributed power split of 70W, 70W, 30W, 30W, 20W, and 20W. An intelligent power controller built into the device auto-detects each connected device’s requirements and balances the output across active ports. Satechi notes that plugging in a new device prompts the system to redistribute power, which can cause a momentary interruption in charging.
Integrated LCD Display and GaN Technology
A central feature of the ChargeView 240W is its built-in color LCD display, which shows live wattage readings for all ports in use simultaneously. This allows users to view real-time power consumption for multiple connected hardware items—such as dual MacBook Pros, tablets, phones, and accessories—without needing to unplug devices.
The unit utilizes next-generation Gallium Nitride (GaN) technology to maintain a compact footprint while delivering stable, sustained desktop power without generating excess heat. Additionally, the charger operates entirely without a fan, ensuring silent workspace performance.
Design and Desktop Integration
The hardware is manufactured in a Space Black shade featuring a metallic matte finish paired with a glossy borderless display cover. This aesthetic is intended to coordinate with Apple devices such as the MacBook Pro and Studio Display, as well as modern dark-palette workspaces.
Each unit ships with an included precision stand that supports both horizontal and vertical placement configurations. In the horizontal orientation, the stand provides a slight forward tilt to improve display visibility from a seated position. When placed in the vertical orientation, the stand minimizes the charger’s overall desk footprint.
