Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver his virtual address at 11 a.m. via video conferencing, reaching students and young participants gathered at two colleges in every district across States and Union Territories.
In Varanasi, local events are scheduled at Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith and Dhirendra Mahila P G College, where the Prime Minister’s address will be telecast live. Vikas Singh, deputy director of Mera Yuva Bharat in Varanasi, noted that public representatives, local sports talents, and students will assemble for a local-level ‘Yuva Samvad’ immediately following the broadcast.
Five Core Themes Driving the 2026 Dialogue
Organised as part of the National Sports Day 2026 celebrations, the programme is conducted across the country with participation of youth at two colleges in every district across States and Union Territories. It brings together sports, youth leadership, civic responsibility, volunteering, fitness and nation-building on a common platform, providing a direct channel for young people to engage with the country’s sporting ambitions.

A central feature of the programme is Yuva Samvaad, where young participants are invited to articulate their own ideas, perspectives and aspirations. The dialogue is structured around five themes, including Sports, Olympic Aspirations, Youth Leadership, Viksit Bharat, and Nasha Mukt Yuva.
The initiative comes with India’s sporting ambitions extending beyond participation and medals, as the country prepares for its bid to host the 2036 Olympics. Discussions will examine ways to nurture talent for the 2036 Olympics through scientific talent identification, transparent selection, and long-term athlete development. Another theme focuses on strengthening India’s sports ecosystem through better facilities, coaching, sports science, and inclusive participation.
Local Engagement and Digital Participation in Varanasi
Following the Prime Minister’s address, public representatives will share their views on sports and youth development, while local sports talents will interact with youths. Vikas Singh stated that ‘Khelo India Samvad’ is an important platform to connect youth with India’s achievements in sports, future opportunities, and their role in the sporting sector, urging the youth and students of Varanasi to participate in the event in large numbers and share their ideas.

A major feature of Khelo India Samvad will be the youth dialogue, giving young participants an opportunity to share ideas and suggestions on India’s sports ecosystem, development of sporting talent, youth leadership, and the role of youth in building a developed India. The suggestions received will be compiled through the designated process and forwarded further.
Participants will also be encouraged to register on the MY Bharat Portal. A QR code for the MY Bharat Suggestions Box will be made available to collect suggestions digitally, and information on the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue 2027 Quiz will be shared during the programme.
