Toxic Box Office Day 7 Yash Kiara Advani Film Crosses Rs 225 Cr

Yash-starrer Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has surpassed the Rs. 225 crore India net mark and crossed Rs. 300 crore worldwide by its seventh day in theatres, maintaining its box office momentum despite mixed reviews and a sharp weekday slowdown following a massive opening.

The gangster drama directed by Geetu Mohandas has drawn intense box office tracking since its theatrical release across Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and English with largely negative word-of-mouth reviews. Set against the backdrop of Portuguese-era Goa, the film features Yash in a dual role as Raya and his son Ticket, navigating a criminal underworld alongside a star-studded ensemble cast.

Box Office Trajectory: Opening Surge and Weekday Slowdown

Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups established an imposing theatrical footprint immediately upon debut, opening with a staggering Rs. 101.10 crore net on Day 1 in India. That initial figure allowed the Yash-starrer to breach the reported opening-day benchmark of Dhurandhar Part 1.

The film’s domestic trajectory experienced the expected weekday normalization following its opening weekend. After posting Rs. 37.65 crore on Day 2 and Rs. 27.20 crore on Day 3, daily collections moderated further to Rs. 25.15 crore on Day 4 and Rs. 23 crore on Day 5. The first Monday brought a steep 66.7 per cent decline in earnings compared to the previous day, yielding a drop in domestic collections.

Day India Net Collection
Day 1 Rs. 101.10 crore

Day 4 Rs. 25.15 crore

Overseas figures added steadily to the worldwide total, beginning with Rs. 20 crore on Day 1 and climbing to an international gross of Rs. 39.25 crore by the end of Day 6. When combined with domestic earnings, the film crossed the Rs. 300 crore worldwide gross threshold within its first week in cinemas.

The Central Board of Film Certification cleared the production with an A certificate, establishing it strictly as an adults-only theatrical release. Despite public criticism and polarized audience reactions, industry observers note that the project’s early numbers have positioned it to target further domestic milestones as its box office run continues.

While public debate surrounding the controversial project continues to grow, industry analysts project that these early financial achievements will likely encourage additional nationwide screenings in the coming weeks.
