The 2026 National Television Awards unfolded at London’s O2 Arena on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, bringing together television stars for a public-voted ceremony hosted once more by Joel Dommett and broadcast live on ITV from 8pm. The evening celebrated the small screen’s biggest moments from the past 12 months, highlighted by historic category nominations and glamorous arrivals.
Red Carpet Highlights and Star-Studded Arrivals at the O2 Arena
Ahead of the main ceremony, the red carpet saw a wave of notable television figures showcasing striking outfits. The event’s red carpet coverage was hosted by Pete Wicks and Sam Thompson. Among the standout looks, Katherine Devlin arrived in a deep red velvet dress with waterfall ruffle detailing down the front, accompanied by her Blue Lights co-star Sian Brooke, who paired a tulle skirt with a smart black blazer.
Princess looked like an actual princess in a light blue ruffled gown reminiscent of Cinderella, joined by her brother Junior Andre, who smartened up in a suit with a black rollneck top. Ruth Jones chose an off-the-shoulder black dress with white striped detailing. Returning to the event after an absence since 2024, Holly Willoughby stepped out as a 45-year-old, who now fronts her own YouTube show, upping the glam in a sleek black strapless dress with plenty of silver jewelled detailing.
Good Morning Britain hosts Ranvir Singh, Kate Garraway, and Susanna Reid turned up together, keeping it classic in black. Ranvir opted for a stunning tuxedo suit, Kate kept it slinky in a beaded gown with cut out panels, and Susanna Reid added glam with a bardot-style neckline. Alan Carr looked bold and bright in a turquoise blazer with gold detailing. Sue Devaney looked resplendent in a gold long-sleeved gown, finished off with a faux-fur cape. Kelly Osbourne arrived to support her mum—whose show Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home was nominated for an award—plumping for a blue and brown tartan print off-the-shoulder gown.

Lucy Fallon turned heads in a pale pink satin halterneck gown with beaded detailing around the middle. Karen Carney sported a glitzy black strapless dress with beautiful silver jewelled detailing. Alison Hammond sparkled in a gorgeous black sequin dress with sheer sleeves following a busy year of This Morning presenting duties on a Friday coupled with her stint on the Great British Bake Off. Jade Packer kept it simple yet stylish in a black, roll-neck gown with thigh-high split. Kellie Bright looked ethereal in a long-sleeved white dress with gold hoop earrings. Stephanie Waring graced the red carpet in a hot pink one-shouldered satin gown with draped detailing at the back. Helen Skelton struck a pose in a deep purple gown with a red clutch bag alongside Morning Live co-host Gethin Jones, who looked snappy in a black suit. Gordon and Tana Ramsay opted for a low-key glamorous look, with Gordon in a sleek black suit and Tana looking stylish.
Historic Nominations and Major Category Winners
The ceremony delivered notable milestones alongside its standard public-voted accolades. Going into the ceremony, perhaps the biggest story was that the drama performance category featured an all-female line-up for the first time, featuring Sheridan Smith for I Fought the Law, Vicky McClure for Trigger Point, Ella Bruccoleri for The Other Bennet Sister, Judy Parfitt for Call the Midwife, and Ruth Jones for Run Away.

As the envelopes were opened, several major programs and performers claimed top prizes across entertainment, drama, and factual categories. Michael McIntyre’s Big Show won the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award, triumphing over competitors including Gladiators, The Graham Norton Show, The Masked Singer, and Would I Lie to You? In the new drama category, I Fought The Law took home the award.
