Trust Bank has launched a miles rewards mode on its Freedom credit card, allowing cardholders to earn 1.3 miles per dollar on local and overseas spending with zero foreign currency fees. New customers can access a welcome promotion offering up to 100,000 Max Miles through October 31.
Trust Freedom Card Introduces Miles Mode and Zero Foreign Currency Fees
The Trust Cashback Card was rebranded as the Trust Freedom Card, introducing a flexible rewards structure that lets cardholders choose how they want to earn. Back in August, the Trust Cashback Card was relaunched as the Trust Freedom Card, with a new flexible rewards mechanic that gives cardholders the freedom to switch rewards modes every quarter. Rewards modes were initially limited to Unlimited Cashback, Bonus Cashback or Stockback, but a fourth option — Miles — was launched in late September, marking Trust’s first foray into the miles game. Singapore digital bank Trust Bank has added a miles option to its Freedom credit card, expanding the card’s rewards choices beyond cashback and stockback. But a LinkedIn post by Trust’s Chief Product Officer revealed that a fourth rewards mode was in the works — Miles. This has just gone live, and with Miles mode selected, the Trust Freedom Card will earn 1.3 KrisFlyer miles or Max Miles per S$1 spent locally or overseas, with no minimum spend, caps, or foreign currency (FCY) transaction fees.
With Miles mode selected, cardholders earn 1.3 Trust Miles per Singapore dollar spent on both local and overseas transactions. Under the Miles mode, cardholders will earn 1.3 Trust Miles per S$1 spent in SGD and 1.3 Trust Miles per S$1 spent in FCY. The card carries no minimum spend requirement and imposes no cap on the total miles that can be accumulated. Crucially for travelers, the card maintains its zero foreign currency transaction fee structure. The Trust Freedom Card might look underwhelming on paper, earning just 1.3 mpd on both local and overseas spend. However, the lack of foreign currency (FCY) transaction fees, combined with HeyMax as a transfer partner, makes it considerably more compelling — especially if you’re eligible for the whopping 100,000 miles sign-up bonus.
Conversion Partners, Redemption Terms, and Expiry Rules
Earned Trust Miles convert instantly at a 1:1 ratio into Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles or Max Miles via HeyMax. The HeyMax integration provides access to more than 25 airline and hotel loyalty programs. Trust says the Max Miles route can provide access to more than 25 airline and hotel loyalty programs through HeyMax. Conversions start from just 1 mile for both programs and carry a S$27.25 conversion fee, with miles awarded in S$5 blocks. Trust Miles are awarded in S$5 blocks, so a S$9.99 transaction will earn the same number of miles as a S$5 transaction, and anything S$4.99 or below earns no miles at all. Trust Miles expire at the end of the third calendar year after they were earned (e.g. all miles earned from 1 January to 31 December 2026 expire on 31 December 2029). The miles remain valid for three years, giving customers a longer redemption window than some short-term promotional rewards.

Welcome Promotion and Rewards Tier Structure
New-to-bank customers selecting Miles mode during onboarding can participate in a launch promotion running through October 31. Trust is also running a launch promotion for new Freedom credit-card customers who select Trust Miles as their initial reward and meet spending requirements within 31 days of approval. New-to-Trust cardholders also enjoy a generous welcome offer of 100,000 Max Miles, and this is going to shake up the market in a big way — even if you’re not really into miles.
Customers can receive 20,000 Max Miles after spending at least S$1,000, 50,000 Max Miles after S$5,000, or 100,000 Max Miles after S$15,000. The promotion runs through October 31, subject to the bank’s terms and conditions. The launch adds another travel-oriented rewards proposition to Singapore’s competitive credit-card market while retaining Freedom’s zero foreign-exchange fee structure for overseas spending.
Cardholders can rotate their chosen rewards mode every membership quarter through the Trust mobile application. The Trust Freedom Card now offers cardholders a choice of four rewards modes, which can be rotated every membership quarter (this may not align with the calendar quarter; check the Trust app to see your quarter dates).
