Content creator Lena Mahfouf, known widely online as Lena Situations, packed the Accor Arena in Paris on Monday, August 31, 2026, to celebrate a decade of her signature Vlogs d’août YouTube format. Complete with pyrotechnics, dancers, and special guests, the grandiloquent show drew roughly 20,000 spectators and was captured for national television broadcast. The rest of France will not be left behind, as the network plans to air the program two weeks after its holding, starting Saturday, September 12, on France 2 and france.tv.
The 1.4 Million Euro Dispute Over France Télévisions Broadcast Rights
The financial arrangements behind the broadcast have ignited an intense public controversy. Speaking on the W9 program Tout beau tout 9, Gilles Verdez stated that the spectacle would have been purchased for between 1.2 million and 1.4 million euros by France Télé to secure the exclusive rights for the concert special. Recent Social Media Controversies Surround the Creator
The decision to spotlight Lena Situations also drew scrutiny due to a separate digital controversy involving the influencer. Weeks prior to the concert, a young woman of the Jewish faith and co-founder of the influencer agency “Gisèle Paris,” Gisèle Journo, faced a wave of harassment after appearing in one of the creator’s famous August vlogs. European Parliament member Rima Hassan spotted the video and published a message on social media calling for a boycott of the individual, accusing her of supporting the Israeli military.
Lena Mahfouf drew criticism after showing her support for the eurodéputée by “liking” the publication before unfollowing Gisèle Journo’s account to erase all traces of their proximity on social networks. Despite the overlapping digital backlash and financial debates, France Télévisions relies on the spectacle to fill its grid, confirming that France 2 will broadcast the show titled Celui où ils disent au revoir on Saturday, September 12, at 23:25.
