The news was revealed at the PokemonXP event happening at this year’s Pokemon World Championships. The LEGO Group confirmed that the fresh wave of products will officially launch in 2027. While concrete release dates and retail prices are still under wraps, the announcement came paired with a brief teaser trailer displaying silhouetted outlines of the upcoming creatures.

The announcement extends a major commercial partnership between The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International that was announced officially in March 2025, after years of speculation and with much accumulated expectation. The initial wave of physical sets reached store shelves in February 2026, featuring buildable versions of Pikachu, Eevee, and the final evolved forms of the Kanto starter generation. Since then, the catalog has expanded to include builds for figures such as Bulbasaur, Bidoof, Mew, Squirtle, Umbreon, Garchomp, Lapras, Cubone, Gengar, Jigglypuff, Charmander, Geodude, Charizard, Jolteon, Mewtwo, and the Paldea starters, among others.

Community Speculation Focuses on Silhouette Analysis

Although the manufacturer withheld official creature names during the convention presentation, community members and collectors quickly took to reviewing the promotional footage. Through frame-by-frame analysis of habitual teaser silhouettes, a consensus emerged across fan forums identifying the outlines. The LEGO Group has not validated that selection, but identifying silhouettes has turned into one of the great pastimes around this line during 2026, and this time it happened again.

Collectors point to five specific characters hidden within the silhouettes: Charcadet, Grookey, Mankey, Pichu, and Wingull. While multiple trainers believe the designs correspond to these specific Pokémon, the public will have to wait—perhaps weeks—until LEGO shows them officially.
