NHN PlayArt will exhibit seven titles at Tokyo Game Show 2026 from September 17 to 21, marking its first appearance at the event in eight years. The subsidiary plans to showcase three new games alongside four established titles at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
Japanese mobile game subsidiary NHN PlayArt is returning to the Tokyo Game Show for the first time since 2018. The company announced on September 2 that it will set up a booth in Hall 2 of Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, offering visitors hands-on game demos, gacha machines, prize draws, and photo zones. The exhibition runs from September 17 to 21.
Leadership framed the return as a chance to highlight cross-border development efforts between its regional operations.
Three New Games Join Four Long-Running Titles
The seven-game lineup splits between entirely unreleased projects and established titles with substantial user bases in the Japanese market. Among the fresh offerings is the puzzle RPG ‘Touken Ranbu Puzzgiri’, alongside the casual puzzle game ‘Puchi Poi in Fantasy World’ (referenced in alternative reporting as ‘Pufflings: Journey Through a Fantasy World’) and the card battle RPG ‘Over Rush’.
Alongside the fresh arrivals, the booth features software already active in the market. The company brought ‘DISSIDIA DUELLUM FINAL FANTASY’, which launched this past March. Two long-running service titles round out the roster: ‘Yo-kai Watch: Wibble Wobble’ (also known as ‘Yo-kai Watch Puni Puni’), which has recorded 36 million downloads in Japan, and ‘#COMPASS Combat Providence Analysis System’, which is currently in its tenth year of service after surpassing 20 million cumulative local downloads.
Interactive Booths and Special Web Pages Roll Out
Beyond playable demos, the publisher has prepared on-site attractions including merchandise giveaways such as shoulder bags and card sets. Developers and special guests are scheduled to appear during stage events designed to let fans interact directly with the creators.
To support the convention presence, a dedicated TGS 2026 special website has gone live. The portal details participating titles, booth layouts, and stage schedules, with further updates slated for sequential release ahead of the convention doors opening in Chiba.
“We will communicate with users on site and promote the newly introduced games.”
Jung Woo-jin, head of NHN PlayArt
