Every NFL team has a head of security, and for many, that role functions similarly to a fixer. During his playing days, Acho rear-ended another car after practice. (Generally speaking, it’s always your fault when you hit someone from behind as part of the obligation to maintain a safe distance behind the car in front of you.)
Acho explained that he contacted one of their security people. I [contacted] one of our security people,
Acho said. He says, ‘Acho, when the cop shows up, send the cop away. I’m going to send you another cop. And that other cop is going to say it wasn’t your fault. It was their fault.’ I was like, ‘Wait, they do that?’
Acho then explained that a second cop did indeed arrive, and that the second cop found that the other driver was at fault. Acho added that, once the other driver found out that he played for the Eagles, she claimed that she and her daughter were injured. Acho said, and then were like, ‘Oh, no, we’re fine.’

Acho’s NFL career spanned across three teams, including Cleveland and New York, with him joining Philadelphia twice, second and last. Among the maps of three facilities, the chances are high for New York and Philadelphia. It then comes to the longevity of his tenure, with him staying with the Giants for only 42 days, making the Eagles far more likely alongside DiSandro’s long tenure as the Eagles’ chief security officer.
Big Dom’s Background and Role with the Eagles
DiSandro is a longtime employee of the Eagles. He is the chief security officer for the team, but he also serves as a senior adviser to the general manager and the director of gameday coaching operations. His tenure with the Eagles started in 1999 when he became the assistant to the chief security officer Butch Buchanico after graduating from Penn State. The Pennsylvania native has worked his way up the ladder in the decades since his arrival.
