British watch brand Sekonda has expanded its portfolio with the debut of the Sekonda Smart Ring, combining health-tracking capabilities with a jewellery-inspired design. The stainless-steel wearable launched in travel retail and domestic markets, positioned as an alternative to traditional fitness tracking watches. According to Sekonda, the launch addresses growing consumer interest in tracking sleep, stress, recovery, and wider wellbeing.

Specifications, Pricing, and Subscription-Free Model
The Sekonda Smart Ring is manufactured with a stainless-steel finish and is available in gold and silver colourways across six sizes, ranging from size 7 to 12. Specifications include a thickness of 3mm and a width of 7mm, with a weight ranging between 3.5g and 4.3g depending on the chosen size. The device retails for £79.99 (US$107), with Womanandhome noting a general retail price of about £80.
Unlike other wearable technology options available on the market, the device operates on a subscription-free model that does not require a monthly fee. Each purchase includes a small charging case, a USB charging cable, and a silicone protective cover designed for use during weight training, manual work, and other high-impact activities. The hardware delivers a battery life of between five and seven days and offers water resistance up to a depth of 50 metres, matching a 5ATM rating.

The wearable tracks a comprehensive range of health and wellbeing indicators throughout both the day and night. Monitored metrics include sleep quality, heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, stress signals, skin temperature trends, respiratory rate, body temperature, mood, and women’s cycle tracking. Detailed data allows users to view current and average heart rates, resting heart rate scales, and specific heart rate zones such as fat-burning and aerobic.
User data can be synchronised directly with Apple Health and Health Connect, allowing individuals to access and review their health patterns through compatible wellness applications. Reviewers note that while workout metrics for activities like running include duration, distance in kilometres, average pace, average speed, and GPS routing through native smartphone mapping applications, strength training outputs focus primarily on basic metrics like heart rate, calories, and active time.

The new smart ring is available through Sekonda‘s official website as well as major retail partners including H Samuel, Argos, and Amazon. Buyers are advised to order a sizing chart first and wear the sizing test ring for at least 48 hours before committing to a final size selection.
