Speaking out against the misuse of digital technology on Instagram on Monday, Pandey urged the public to report the clip immediately rather than sharing or engaging with it.
The rapid proliferation of deepfake technology has forced another public figure to confront manipulated media head-on. The actor, widely recognized for her breakout role in the 2017 Telugu hit Arjun Reddy, took to social media to address the explicit and entirely fictitious video making the rounds across various platforms.

The fabricated footage presents a severe privacy violation, purportedly showing the performer topless without her consent. By calling out the digital manipulation directly, the actor emphasized the alarming ease with which generative AI tools can place individuals into compromising situations they never experienced.
“I want to address a fake, Al-generated video of me that is currently being circulated online. The video is completely fabricated and does not depict me. It is deeply disturbing to see technology being misused in this way to target and harm individuals, especially women.”
