Israeli police and emergency services responded early Sunday morning to a grim discovery in central Israel. The victims were discovered in the back seat of the vehicle, and the identities of the deceased are not yet known.
Large police forces were dispatched to the scene, and a police helicopter was also operating in the area. Investigators opened an inquiry into the circumstances of the incident, stating that initial investigations indicate the background appears to be criminal. No suspects had been arrested as of early Sunday.
Emergency Response at the Scene
The Magen David Adom emergency organization reported that its teams arrived after receiving a call through the 101 emergency center. Paramedics arrived while the vehicle was still on fire. Once firefighting operations extinguished the blaze, medical teams found three men inside the car unconscious, with no signs of life, without a pulse and not breathing.
“When we arrived, we saw a vehicle on fire,” MDA emergency medic Abed Yadsi and paramedics Achva Saadia and Said Majadla said. “After the fire was extinguished, we saw three men inside the vehicle who were unconscious, with no pulse and not breathing. We had no choice but to pronounce them dead at the scene.”

Surge of Weekend Violence Across Arab Communities
The incident came amid several other violent crimes and a series of shooting incidents that have taken place in various areas overnight and over the weekend in Arab communities. Before the car fire, a young woman, about 18 years old, was seriously injured as a result of a shooting in the Negev. She was found near the Idan HaNegev Junction on Route 40. One of the paramedics noted that the young woman was in a confused state of consciousness and was suffering from a penetrating injury. Emergency crews provided her with life-saving treatment that included stopping the bleeding and administering medication before quickly transferring her to Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva, where her condition was described as serious and unstable.

In Umm al-Fahm, a man around 40 years old was seriously injured, and another man around 30 years old sustained minor injuries as a result of a shooting as well. MDA teams evacuated them to Emek Medical Center in Afula, also referred to as HaEmek Hospital, and police opened an investigation. Additionally, a 14-year-old boy was seriously injured in a shooting incident in the village of Kafr Kanna in what police described as a criminal incident. A day earlier, another boy, aged 16, was seriously injured in a shooting incident in Jaljulia.
According to the data presented in the report, 173 people have been killed in the Arab community in Israel since the beginning of the year, amid the continued escalation of violence and shootings.
