While rumors on social media frequently suggest that all channels undergo a simultaneous, mandatory wipe, official tracking confirms that adjustments happen gradually across specific transponders rather than a universal system shutdown.
On the night connecting August 15 to August 16, 2026, television and radio broadcasts on Türksat 3A were transferred to next-generation Türksat satellites. Following the frequency transition, issues such as channel lists not updating on different brand and model televisions, some channels disappearing, inability to receive signals, or no sound despite having a picture have come to the fore.
As of August 14, 2026, there is no verified announcement in Türksat’s official sources stating that the frequencies of all television channels in Turkey will change collectively on the night connecting August 15 to August 16. Broadcasts on Türksat 3A are still included in Türksat’s current frequency list. Therefore, information shared on social media or different websites stating that “all channels are changing on August 16” should not be considered definitive information without an official statement.

How to Perform New Satellite Frequency Settings
Users who want to perform new satellite frequency settings must first enter the Menu section of the television or satellite receiver. Although menu names may vary according to the brand and model of the device, generally the following steps are followed: Open the Menu section. Enter the Installation/Satellite Settings option. Select the Türksat 4A satellite. Open the Manual Search/TP Search section. Enter the current frequency information of the relevant channel. Press the Search Channel/Scan option. After entering the frequency, polarization, and symbol rate and turning on the Network Search feature, press the Search, Search Channel, Start, or Start Search option on the television. Do not stop the process until the scan is complete. Broadcasts found by the television can be added to the channel list after the scan. If your model also has a Save option, save the new channel list after the scan is completed. If no channel is found despite the manual scan, first check that the selected satellite is Türksat 42°E. Then, review the following values: 12380 MHz / V / 27500 / FEC 3/4. Also, make sure the Network Search option is on. Türksat’s official guide states that the values 12380 V 27500 can be used for Europe and Turkey and that the network search must be activated.
Türksat 4A Network Scan
To automatically find all channels on the Türksat 4A satellite, a network search should be used with the current network frequency 12380 MHz, Vertical (V) polarization, 27500 symbol rate and 3/4 FEC values, or 12423 MHz, Horizontal (H) polarization, 30000 symbol rate and 3/4 FEC values.
