Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.2 Arrives September 9

Version 3.2 Launch Date and New Armorer Specialty Mechanics

The next major update for Zenless Zone Zero arrives on September 9, bringing fresh character builds and combat options. According to developer announcements, Version 3.2 introduces the brand-new Armorer Agent Specialty, which blends offensive capability with defensive utility.

Armorer Agents gain access to Counter Assist, which allows them to intercept and push back enemy Control Skills. Combat under this new specialty relies on building up Gash on adversaries and triggering Maim to deal additional damage. For stats, DEF, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG drive the calculations, with any CRIT Rate exceeding 100% feeding into a multi-CRIT mechanic.

Claret and Roxy Lead Flint Workshop Roster Additions

Two S-Rank Agents from the Flint Workshop faction anchor the character banners across the update’s two halves. During the first phase, S-Rank Electric Armorer Agent Claret makes her debut. As the head of Flint Workshop, her attacks center on DEF and critical stats to maximize Laceration DMG through her Maim mechanics.

Arriving in the second half, S-Rank Wind Stun Agent Roxy serves as Claret’s assistant and lead artisan. Roxy’s combat kit revolves around her Eyes of the Storm mechanic. Holding down her EX Special Attack button generates an Eye of the Storm and a localized tornado, which she can gather and detonate for explosive area-of-effect damage.

Banners for the new characters are accompanied by reruns. S-Rank Agents Nangong Yu and Promeia return alongside their signature W-Engines during the first and second halves of the version, respectively.

Roscaelifer and Vyrium Storyline Expansions

The main narrative continues in Their Secret Histories, sending Proxies and their allies into Vyrium, a special zone located within the Shrouded Reef. The characters travel to the region to treat the mutated power inside their bodies, but the investigation quickly broadens.

Simultaneously, a missing Porcelloy shipment from Flint Workshop draws Claret and Roxy into an inquiry that exposes a secret research facility tied to Helios Academy. Lindverne Sunbringer, Administrative Director of the Airspace Patrol Department, also directs Claret to investigate remaining leads in Girtablullu, connecting the plot to a long-lost friend and years of concealed secrets.

Angels of Delusion Outfits and Limited-Time Events

Players can earn new cosmetic rewards through upcoming events and check-ins. Producer Zhenyu announced a free outfit campaign running across Versions 3.2 and 3.3. Logging in during the 14-day Surprise Screening Plan check-in event lets players select one Angels of Delusion costume, while completing Clink, Clank, Pinball Knight! and its Challenge Mode unlocks another option via the Angels Support Operation page.

Additional limited-time activities include the virtual pet-raising event Diary of an Orbie Parent, the Booastrum detective series Chronicles of the Hobbling Crow, and the HIA virtual combat challenge Shadow Chase Showdown.

Mode Updates and System Improvements

Permanent content receives substantial refreshes as well. Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel updates with new Z-Rank valuables, advanced challenges, server-wide rankings, and season mission resets. Players gain access to a new Break-Even Beacon item allowing a Bangboo to extract supplies in advance.

Furthermore, the Beginner Guide adds Jane, Hugo, and Soldier 0 – Anby. HoYoverse confirmed that players who missed the Agent self-select perk in Version 3.1 can choose one of those three characters after updating.
