JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON Delayed, New Trailer Showcased

Shueisha Games and poncle have delayed JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON to 2027. Originally slated for a 2026 launch, the survivors royale title will now head to Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam with a world-first playtest set for Tokyo Game Show 2026.

The development team behind the upcoming survival action game announced the schedule shift to secure extra production time. Shueisha Games confirmed that the delay to 2027 stems from the need to further refine the project and deliver a satisfying experience for players.

Alongside the postponement notice, the project’s staff released a second promotional trailer showcasing signature character abilities, Domain Expansions, and pixel-art animations. The footage highlights more than 20 playable characters drawn from the universe created by Gege Akutami, whose manga ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2018 to September 2024. Viz Media publishes the manga digitally and in print, while Shueisha publishes it digitally on its MANGA Plus service.

The franchise has also seen extensive anime adaptations. The first JUJUTSU KAISEN television anime season premiered in October 2020 with 24 episodes. The JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 anime film opened in Japan in December 2021, and opened in the U.S. and Canada with English subtitles and an English dub in March 2022, later receiving revival screenings in five cities across Japan in October 2025. The second season premiered in July 2023 on MBS, TBS, and 28 affiliated channels, running for two cours continuously, while Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired alongside an English dub. JUJUTSU KAISEN Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1 premiered its first two episodes as a one-hour special on January 8 on the Super Animeism TURBO programming block on MBS, TBS, and their affiliates, with Crunchyroll streaming the show worldwide outside of Asia and its final first-part episode airing as an extended 27-minute episode on March 26.

In JUJUTSU KAISEN RUMBLE: SURVIVATON, participants step into the roles of series characters to battle wave after wave of Cursed Spirits and up to seven rival competitors in fast-paced online multiplayer matches. The gameplay utilizes simple movement-based controls paired with automatic attacks, forcing players to rely on strategic positioning, timing, and combat leveling to grow stronger and survive as the last one standing.

The mechanics introduce a Vampire Survivors-inspired twist called the Unite Build system. This feature lets players create unique attack builds, strengthening their chosen character’s skills while incorporating the techniques of various allies as they level up. Matches also incorporate randomized “Rule Additions” every 100 points earned—a system unlocking game-changing rules similar to the Culling Game from the series, while players compete in dynamic rankings that culminate in a final duel between the top two players.
