A similar upward pressure is squeezing motorists abroad. In Cyprus, pump prices are climbing back toward the alarming highs witnessed during the 2022 energy crisis according to the Cyprus News Agency.
The Cypriot Cabinet agreed to extend an excise duty reduction on motor fuels that saves drivers roughly 8.3 euro cents per litre, but consumer advocates note that prices remain painfully high.
